How to Apply to RHSS Programs

Service providers, family members, and self referrals are all welcome. Applicants must have status in Canada, be between 16 and 65 years-of-age and have some form of income (OW, ODSP, CPP, etc). All applicants are welcome to apply to either the Mental Health Homelessness Initiative Program or Residential Program but please note that agencies that have a partnership agreement with the Homeless Initiative will be given priority access to that program.

Upon receipt of the paperwork, applicants are placed on a waiting list. Once the applicant is near the top of the waiting list and we have a vacancy she or he will be called in for an interview. This is the applicant's opportunity to decide if RHSS is good choice for him or her and RHSSs opportunity to place potential clients where they would be served most effectively. After the interview, if both parties are still interested, she or he would be invited to view the vacancy. Upon viewing the unit, the applicant may refuse and be kept on the waiting list if she or he so chooses.

Our *application form (good for both programs) (64.2 KB) can be downloaded or you can call us
and we can mail or fax you an application.

Please complete it in full and return it to us with:

  • proof of status in Canada,
  • proof of income and
  • a consent to communicate with the current service provider.

* Printable Program Application Form requires Adobe Acrobat for viewing.
